    I had this problem and had to ensure that curl was installed and enabled in PHP.

    We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced due to the bugs introduced in version 2.0 of Pie Register (PR). As you know, with PR 2.0, we have released numerous UI upgrades and feature adds to the product. Due to the self-imposed tight deadlines, some aspects of testing were not as closely monitored as they should have been, causing this slippage. Since then the team has worked very hard to fix all known bugs and performed end-to-end rigorous testing to ensure the product is stable. We have released a newer version.
