Twenty Thirteen Custom Mobile Site??

Can anyone help me, i need to create a custom mobile theme for my website. I’m using a customized thwenty-thirteen child theme, and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to create my own styles for a mobile site. I understand @media queries and how to implement them, but any code i add won’t override the default twenty thirteen mobile theme(blue menu bar, no header etc). I want to create a mobile theme that looks like my desktop theme, but i can’t work out how to override the twenty thirteen theme. Please help! Thanks in advance.
