Soliloquy Lite v2 causing browser crashes and freezing

    Hi. Soliloquy Lite updated to version 2.0.4 from 1.5.7 on my site this morning. Now, if the plugin is enabled and present on a page, the browser becomes unusable or even crashes. Firefox 27.0.1 crashes completely to the Mozilla error reporting message, while Google Chrome 33.0.1750.154 reports that the JavaScript isn’t responding after the page is frozen for a few minutes. I’ve therefore been forced to deactivate the plugin in the meantime. Since the other posts on this forum don’t mention browser crashes, I’m presuming it could be a conflict with another plugin I’m using, but I could be wrong.

    Plugins installed: Contact Form 7, Post Types Order, Really Simple CAPTCHA, and WP-PageNavi. Soliloquy Lite is still installed, but disabled currently. I can enable it for a short time for you to inspect, just post on here when you need it.

    If you could enable the plugin and place the slider on a test page, that would be great. Report back with a link so I can help debug and get this resolved.

    Your version of jQuery is old. Soliloquy Lite requires jQuery 1.7 or greater to function – you are using 1.6.4. Upgrade your copy of jQuery and that should resolve the issue.

    Ah, that was a simple fix. Should’ve thought of trying that myself. I needed the jquery migrate plugin as well as just upgrading jquery broke a few other things (it’s an old theme) but everything’s back to normal! Thanks a lot ^_^

    Hi! I am using the Jobify theme and upgraded soliloquy lite to the latest version. The theme then told me to change the version of the sliders so i clicked that, and it displayed ALL wrong. the slider became 1/5th of the size it was before, floating in the top left corner of screen, with caption overflowing. I changed it back to 1.5.7 but the slider is now completely gone. HELP please, I was so close to finishing this website!!!
