Learndash Trigger Select Box is Broken

Any word on this? The plugin can not be used until this is fixed.

Sadly, I don’t have any specific updates on this issue. It’s been a busy week for the primary developers, between trying to get BadgeOS 1.4.0 release ready and unrelated projects taking up other time.

That said, I’ll do what I can to elevate this issue and see if we can get some more eyes on it than just mine.

You do realize this plugin is unusable until this is fixed, right?

Yes, and I wish I could get it debugged faster for you, but I don’t have the right setup to debug this plugin, given that LearnDash is a premium service in itself.

Trust me, I wish things moved along faster than they have been, for more BadgeOS aspects than you may realize ??

Seriously? You people wrote, distribute and “support” this add-on and you are telling me you don’t even have the plugin installed or have access to it?

I never said the whole company and everyone involved didn’t. I said *I* don’t. I am not the original author of this plugin, but it’s part of the package of support we are agreed to. Yes, this puts *me* at an inconvenience that I get to deal with.

I can send you the plugin if they won’t.

I’ve reviewed the codebase and conferred with the lead developer on this add-on. It is intentional that we force the earning count to “1” for a handful of the learndash step settings due to some limitations we have in extracting data from learndash itself. At this moment we can only know when a *single* specific course/lesson is completed, we cannot validate that against the user’s full LearnDash history to see if multiple courses of that type were also earned.

The fact that the LearnDash input doesn’t go away when you select a different earned by setting IS a bug, and we will get that fixed. We’re still working on a better way to extract the earning data from LearnDash, something that will help us both with this Add-on and with BadgeOS core, too.

I am also going to put in an enhancement request regarding implementing https://ivaynberg.github.io/select2/ with this plugin, especially for people who have a LOT of tags, and hopefully for those with a lot of categories. It’ll cut down on a really huge list being generated and rely on ajax instead. We already have some functionality in the core plugin that will use it, so it’ll be easy to get ahold of.

You should remove the LearnDash add-on. That little bug/misunderstanding cost us 2 months worth of planning. LearnDash is a hacked together LMS marketing ploy, nothing more.

BTW Support doesn’t = reply, it = fixes. So far I’ve seen zero support for this plugin.

Anyway good luck with your plugin. There is no way we can currently trust offering it to our members.
