Slider not automatically working with customizr 3.1.10 and wordpress 3.8.1

  • Hello,

    I recently updated one of my sites to the latest version of wordpress and customizr (as well as a majority of my plugins) and my slider had suddenly stopped working automatically. (it still works if I press on the left and right hand buttons to initiate the slide action)

    My slider wait is still set to 5000ms and everything is configured as it was before the updates.

    These are the plugins I have active:

    Up to date
    ———-
    Akismet
    Custom sidebars
    Google Sitemap
    HDW Player
    Image Widget
    Loco Translate
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    RK Responsive Contact Form
    TablePress
    Velvet Blues Update URLs

    Outdated
    ——–
    WP Gallery Custom Links

    Can you suggest a course of action in order to figure out a solution?

  • Don’t think it depends on customizr upgrading, maybe on other plug-ins upgrading.
    What happens? When you click on a control “<” “>” you can see a “#” in your address bar? If yes it means there’s some js conflict.
    Try to disable all your plug-ins (regenerate thumbnails can stay active for sure) and see if the slider works again.. Then re-active them one at time and see which one is the bad guy…

    Hi, no # appears in the URL. The slider works normally when I press on these actions.

    I guess I will have to try to the plugin disabling/enabling first.

    Strangelly, when I press on the action buttons “<” or “>” the automated process kicks in and it start sliding automatically afterward at the preset 5000 milliseconds.

    Its as if an intializer function isn’t called when I land on the home page but presssing the action buttons actually initiate the process….

    I’ve found the guilty part. When I disable the pluggin “RK Responsive Contact Form” the sliders starts automatically.

    Now, what should I do to have customizr work with “RK Responsive Contact Form”? Is this a matter of support and wait for a new code update? Or is there something I can do localy to patch this?

    You’re probably best asking the author of “RK Responsive Contact Form”. It’s a new plugin and Customizr is a popular theme. The author will probably want to make sure his/her plugin is compatible with Customizr.

    Good idea.

    On a side note, I was able to convince the client to change the plugin for forms submissions in order to clear out the code conflict.

    So all is good in the best of world ??
