Changing back to earlier version Evolve Theme

  • Hello,

    Recently i updated the Evolve Theme for WordPress. My website (www.dennisvenema.nl) is now running on the newest theme. I want to ask how i can go back a few versions (without the slider etc. etc. )

    My website was used to be working fine, but after the new update everything is changed. Titles of my articles are shortened and pictures are way smaller then they used to be.

    I saw there are older versions here to download, but my question… How to install this older version? I’m getting a Winrar file. Should i overwrite all the files with the files in FTP?

    I hope i can get an answer

    Here’s what I’d do: change the theme to something else, then ftp to your site and delete the evolve directory under Themes, then go to your Theme Install page and upload the zip file for the earlier version and activate it. All your settings will still be there.

    It may not be the accepted way, but I know it works because I just did it. I’ve been having problems with the newest two versions. Unfortunately it didn’t fix my issue.

    Usually you always want to start with a child theme, but that can be done as well, you will just have to re-edit everything again.
