Link homepage top widget to blog

The only way to set a blog page is under the Reading admin page. But you’ll probably also have to set a static front page.

It wold be great if we could only show the top widgets as a home page without having to deactivate the side bars on the rest of the site.

I had the same issue and found the solution here:

I also got rid of the menu at the top as I didn’t need it. I′m still developing my site … but, anyway
