I copied all the plugins from the folder and moved them to the new folder of the new website and i also copied the data base of the old site and moved it to the new site.

I have all the plugins, pages, post, and categories on the new website but none of the pictures show up. can someone help me with that ?

You probably need to copy the uploads folder ??

You can right click and inspect properties (depending on the browser your using) to see where the browser is searching for the files. Most likely the uploads folder.

    hey thanks. one more question

    Thread Starter Adonismoet1608

    (@adonismoet1608)

I started this process by installing wordpress and creating a username and password.
now that i copied a database over that original database i cant login with that username and password.

I can login with the user name and password from the database account i copied but its saying i don’t have sufficient access to delete post etc.

the username and password i am using is not for full access and this is the only admin account on this database

    (@keithdriscoll)

What do you mean by full access? Are you coming from WordPress.com?

    Sorry, my bad.

You shouldn’t copy one database over another. What I do, and it can get technical…is drop the tables in the existing DB and then import the new/modified DB.

    what i did was
made a backup of the database i wanted to use

i went to the database i wanted to write over and just pressed restore
and i chose the database i backed up

    (@keithdriscoll)

What are you using to restore database? WordPress import, hosts database tool, phpMyAdmin?

    godaddy/databases/actions/restore

Unless both databases are ‘GoDaddy’ databases, GoDaddy suggests this https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/7347/restoring-thirdparty-mysql-databases?locale=en
