• Hi. I am running wp 3.8 and the latest Nextgen version. My site is running insanely slow, as in it takes MINUTES for my pages to load. I have narrowed it down to Nextgen because when I deactivate it revert to a previous version my site is once again snappy as it should be. I talked to my service provider and they say the error logs are showing a problem with the autoload.php file. Please advise.

@djgritz – The autoload.php basically bootstraps the plugin’s framework; would it be possible to share your error_log (usually just the most recent entries is fine) so we can see what messages are being sent?

Yes, here are the items in the log related to NextGen.

    And this one …

[26-Mar-2014 19:28:12 UTC] PHP Warning: fopen(/home2/uncompah/public_html/gritzphoto/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/uncompah/public_html/gritzphoto/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3666

@djgritz I’m getting the same message as your last one (line 3666). It started yesterday after I updated several plugins (I’m assuming NextGen was one of them). Please post a fix if you find one!

@djgritz – We may need to get a look under the page for this … would you be able to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site details. We will also need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with the Bug Report.

@techdaddyk – You are welcome to submit a Bug Report, too, especially if you are seeing similar error messages.

    Thanks!

TechDaddyK – I resolved my issue by deleting all the NextGen files (non pro and pro) from my server (as opposed to an uninstall from the WP dashboard, which will also delete your photo galleries). Apparently the “loader.php” issue was a result of a corrupt file. So, give that a try.
