Featured images not shown properly

  • On the blog page of my site the featured image of each blog post is displayed inside some sort of a frame which is too wide (a lot wider than the actual picture).
    the picture itself is not stretched, only the frame is displayed in a weird way.

    Would really appreciate some help with this.
