  • When I open up the inspector, I see at least 5 console errors:
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 504 (Gateway Timeout)”

Are these being loaded from a CDN, or from the site itself? Are you using any CDN or Caching plugins?

After going back and taking a look, it’s most likely an issue with the Photon CDN installed via JetPack. Confirm that the settings are correct.

    Hi Evan,
These are being loaded from my computer where all of my files are uploaded. They were all uploaded at the same time also which confuses me in regards to why some are working and some are not. i have tried deleting them and uploading again and same result, they show up fine in the back office but are only showing the file name in front end. Sorry for a silly question but I have no idea what Photon CDN is. What settings in Jetpack are the correct settings to check? Thank you so much for taking the time to help me ??

From within the dashboard, inside the menu on the left hand side there is a menu item called ‘Jetpack’, go ahead and click that. From this menu, scroll down and locate Photon. It should be in the last 2 rows.

Photon is a Content Distribution Network that speeds up the delivery of all your images. In turn , it speeds up your site.

Go ahead and click on ‘Learn More’. Possibly try deactivating and re-activating the module to see if that resolves the issue for you.

    Evan

It’s possible that some of your images are too large. From a little research, I was able to come across:

“Photon will only work if it takes 10s or less to load the image.”

Thank you so much Evan. Yes they did take quite a while to upload to I deleted them and minimized the file size in photoshop and uploaded them all again. I just didn’t think that was the original issue as some of them could be seen that were the same size as the others that couldn’t be seen. All fixed now ?? Thank you again
