• Hey everyone. I just created my first WordPress theme. It’s built to be like a classic newspaper. It has 6 columns (4 content columns). It’s working on Safari and FF 1 and 2 but my PC is down so I haven’t tested on IE. I have some basic hacks in place that I knew I would need, but I’m almost sure it’s not there yet. Let me know what you think + any feature requests you might have or design changes you want to see.

You can find the theme at https://www.blackpointeditions.com/newser

    Take care, Walker Blackwell

  • In IE7 the far right “Links” column seems to list all its content out of alignment. It appears that the actualy links are listed mostly outside and to the left of the intended column. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Did you notice any of the column lines doubling? I had that problem w/ Safari. If it’s working in IE, though, that will be spectacular. The first column “edge” site I’ve done without having to bend over backwards for IE.

    Great work Walker!

Looks good in Firefox 1.5.07 but the final (Links) column drops in IE6 and the left hand side of the text is hidden. I can put a screenshot up if you need it.

I’d also add a Skip to Content link for screenreader users.

Hey. Good suggestion on the Skip. Can you put a screen-shot up? You can email me at wblackwell at blackpointeditions.com Thanks, Walker

    Hi Walker, here’s a screenshot in IE6, 1280×1024 resolution:
