Gradient background CSS being overwritten by color picked in wizard.

Hi.
Trying to add a css gradient as the background of my site, however I believe it is being overwritten by the fact that in responsive I have already set a background color in the color picker wizard in the past.

I have tried deleting the hex code in the wizard to leave it blank but the background just goes white/gray and my gradient doesn’t show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
