Very Slow Website

  • Hello to all,
    I hope someone can help as I dont know what to do. My site https://www.golfturkey.co.uk is very slow (about 6 to 7 seconds per page) I use Rocket Themes Hexeris on the Gantry Framework and my host is EUKHOST. The hosts say the server is fine, the theme say the themes is fine. Ive checked all plugins, all images are max 800 x 600 (most are smaller) No videos. Just a normal site. Does anyone have any advice as I am just about at my witts end.

    The result was 14,76 seconds where 8 of them was spent before the website started to load anything.

    The other problem was 2 of your showcase images (8 and 1)

    Are you sure the host is good enough to meet your expectations? If you run a business or build professional websites, you don’t want to save yourself poor on your hosting.

    thankyou very much for taking time to help. I thought the same about the time taken to start loading. the twirly thing on the tab changes after a while as if it takes ages to find the page, and then once found actually loads ok. ?m not too knowledgeable on the hosting sides of things. My boss found the server package. could you explain the problems with 8 and 1 images as i will try to change them.

    I’m not an expert either, but they seemed to take the longest time to load. If I remember correctly they where PNG files, and those are a little heavier than JPG.

    You might see if the quality is still good if you save the images as JPG and change them on the website.

    I had the same experience in terms of loading. Nothing happens for a long time, and suddenly everything loads ok.
