  • Hmm, same for me. Even if I try it inline. Works without autoplay, not with… (I’ve tried in Firefox and Chrome, on desktop.)

Does the same happens if you use the shortcode in a WordPress post or page?

Actually, it’s working today, but not with the optional ‘or’ for other file source. (e.g. ‘fileurl=”song.mp3|song.ogg”‘). https://thelureofrussia.com/gallery/ – working from functions.php but only with mp3 file option (Firefox 28.0 mac).

I am seeing the same issue. Autoplay is working if I only specify the .mp3 file, but not if I also specify the .ogg file.

Is there/will there be a fix for this?

    Thank you.

Does it behave the same way if you use the new template1 shortcode?

Thank you for your response. Yes, I am seeing the same issue with the template1 shortcode. In both cases, not only does the autoplay not work, but clicking the play/pause button does not play the audio. The icon changes, but the play time remains at 00:00, and the audio does not play.

I’ve created a password protected test page – https://gregorycain.net/?page_id=914. The password is asdf.

    Thanks again for your help.

Give me a 404 error when I go to that page.

Hi – sorry for the delay in responding. Please try going to https://gregorycain.net/audio-test-page-2.html and entering the password asdf there. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

The URL you entered in the shortcode is giving a 404 error. Just enter the following URL in the shortcode as teh file URL then see what it does:

    [audio src="https://gregorycain.net/gregorycain.net/wp-content/sample/sigh.mp3" /]

Thank you for your response. Yes, when I remove the .ogg reference, the plugin is working. Does this mean that I cannot specify both .ogg and .mp3 files and still have autoplay work?

    Thanks again.
