1and1 forwarding

  • Does anyone have a domain name registered with 1and1 that is then “forwarded” to a free WP blog at wordpress.com?
    ie https://www.mydomain.com goes to https://myblog.wordpress.com

    1and1 provides forwarding in two options – option one is within a frame and you get to add title and metatags and the other option is “html” forwarding – no meta tags. I am assuming that the html forwarding is a permenant or non permenant domain redirection?

    I chose the “html” forwarding because I hear that the Google spider does not like frames. I also hear that the google spider only likes permenant redirects. Does anyone know what exactly is the 1and1 html forwarding option and if it is SE/Google friendly?
