404 error with plugin eliminated

  • Hi,

    I installed Password Protected plugin before to read this:

    “Please note, this plugin does not currently work with WP Engine hosting due to their page caching implementation.”

    I now that my server use WP Engine hosting.

    The problem is that, after the plugin was eliminated, the 404 error persists.

    What I have to do to solve the error?

    or,

    what I have to say to my hosting provider for solve it? (as i hace a limited access)
