Search term containing "&" doesn't yield result

    Hello,

    I have a small problem with the plugin.
    I have a record with name “Clark & Company”.
    Now when I search for the record with this term in the frontend, it doesn’t display any records. So I used “Clark & Company” as the search keyword, then it displayed the record.

    So there is some minor issue there, you can help me out with this.

    Thanks for letting me know about this. When ampersands are used, they are converted to their HTML entity equivalent so your search will fail if you try it with the ampersand in there.

    I’m going to have to investigate this further. I’m pretty sure this happens when the values are sanitized (as a security measure) but it should still be possible to search for the string in it’s normal form, so this is something that should be fixed.

    Yeah, I’ve got a fix coming in the next update.

    Xnau, my client is having the exact same issue when searching with an ampersand, do you have any update on the status of this fix?

    The new release is in beta right now, there will probably be a couple of weeks of testing before it’s released.
