'Edit your front page' link on dashboard does nothing

    I installed WP today using the Softaculous function in my cPanel, and I have been able to edit my site a little, still getting used to it. I have chosen to have a static front page, but I can’t seem to edit it.

    On the dashboard, there’s a box with some getting started links, and under the ‘Next steps’ section, there’s a link that says ‘Edit your front page’, but when I click on it, it does nothing.
    Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
