Get site admin page but cannot access primary site

I have installed the multsite network plugin using my primary site as https://www.tcrdesigns.com located in my root folder and then added a second wordpress website https://www.tomroether.com located in a sub-directory. When I type in my https://www.tcrdesigns.com url I’m asked to log in and I get the greetings message for site adminstrator giving me the option of adding another site both of my sites are listed and I have no problem with accessing https://www.tomroether.com and I can access the dashboards of both sites and the network adminstrator dash. but when I try to open tcrdesigns.com I can only get the greetings page for site adminstrator. Not clear where I went wrong. Any ideas would be appreciated.
