While I weas going through my “Users” settings on my site, I noted about 53 “Subscribers” and panicked. I thought my WP account had been hacked into, so I deleted those subscribers and changed my password. I found out later that those subscribers were from Jetpack. Is there any way I can undo my dumbness and get those subscribers back?

Hi there! It’s worth noting that Registered Users and Jetpack Subscribers are two different types of users:

    • Registered Users appear under Users > All Users in your Dashboard, and register through the “Register” link on your login page. You receive an email notification when they do so. They do not receive any notifications about your new posts, and are not related to Jetpack in any way. It sounds like these are the Subscribers that you removed. You can disable these registrations by going to Settings > General in your Dashboard.
    • Jetpack Subscribers can be found by following these steps. They do not appear under Users > All Users, and you do not receive an email notification when they sign up. These subscribers cannot be deleted, so everything should be fine on your site!

I hope this clarifies things a bit. Let me know if you have any questions!
