Why can't we copy shortcode?

No such limitation. You should be able to copy it on both.
Just select it and right click and click ‘copy’.

I can’t. It’s greyed out. You can’t click on it.

It’s also grayed out on pro version to avoid accidental edit. But you should be able to click+drag to select the text.

I tried, and could not click on it or select it in any way, so could not copy it.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but this appears to be happening to me as well. I’m using the latest version of Firefox, not sure if that matters.

I made the text field disabled/grayed so that you don’t accidentally change the code while selecting/copying. However, you should still be able to select the shortcode by dragging your mouse (click+drag) and then ctrl+c to copy

Let me know if you can do this or not.

Thanks for your reply! I did try this but no luck. If it helps, I ran Firebug and got the following code:

May just be how Firefox handles that particular kind of tag?

You should be able to select and copy grayed out (disabled) text. It’s disabled just to avoid accidental edit.

replace the ID value to match yours.
If it’s not working then there might be a connectivity problem on your hosting.
This plugin requires that your server be able to connect and receive data from youtube via php. Some server disables that feature of php.

I am actually putting tinymce widget in the WoP sidebar that I created. I tried to type in the code, but that didn’t work either. I am wondering if there is something I am supposed to put type before I type in the sidebar code.

This is the code under the title: ‘widgets_on_pagesid=”Double_Slot_Text”‘ I put two editors in the same sidebar so I could have them side by side.

I can not copy the grayed out text I even tried holding down ctrl and alt those don’t work either.

maybe your theme is not allowing to copy disabled text.
However, if you can’t copy you can just type it or copy from here
[srizonytalbum id=1]
or
[srizonytalbum id=2]
or
[srizonytalbum id=3]

Try it first on a page/post before trying out in sidebar. I’ve never tried it on sidebar/widget position.
First make sure it works by putting it on your page/post.
If it shows empty page then your server has connectivity problem or you setup is not right.
