I am trying out Engrave lite to see whether to recommend it to a client. It looks beautiful and efficient… except in Google Chrome. When I try to view the site in Chrome, a blank screen loads. The browser recognizes that content is there, because a scrollbar appears. But no content is displayed. Meanwhile, none of the developer tools work.

The only other page I’m having this kind of trouble with on Chrome is … the website of ThinkUp Themes, the company that made this theme.

Meanwhile, all works well in Internet Explorer. Which is strange. I’m used to themes working amazingly in Chrome and not in Internet Explorer.

Any clue about what could be causing this?

    Hi bgentry,

This is not do with our themes, all of our themes are tested in all modern browsers before release. Also, the WordPress review team would have also tested our theme in Google Chrome before approving.

The issue you are experiencing is not caused by Engrave Lite, however it is an issue with an insecure extension you have installed in Google Chrome which is causing the issue. Take a look at some of these support threads on Google which might help:

Once you identify the insecure extension that’s caused the issue please can you let us know. We’ll then test Engrave Lite with this extension activated and if needed we’ll go ahead and contact the author of the extension informing them of the issue.

We’ll work with you to get this sorted so you can enjoy using Engrave Lite. Thanks.

Thank you for pointing out the extensions issue. It turns out that the extension in question was one that I had started writing and never finished. I disabled it, and Engrave started working. I wasn’t using it, so it’s fine.
