• I noticed when I visit a page on my site, the status bar on my browser refers to https://www.coolcode.cn. I am very new to wordpress, so this may be a common thing…but I couldn’t find much explaining the call out to coolcode.

I added a few plugins (thickbox and mygallery) and suspect it’s something with them (ajax?). If I disable either one, I don’t see it reference the site…

Any insite? Should I be concerned? coolcode.cn doesn’t look too friendly.

    Thanks~!

  • this is something normal … it’s by default in the browser ..

you can change it by using some javascript search google for this issue “change status bar text”

I’d be concerned. “coolcode.cn” isn’t part of a normal WordPress install.

It appears it’s tied with coolplayer.

This link states is clean – https://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/coolcode.cn/summary/

But, on a second box with the same version of browser I am not seeing the coolcode entry.

Dunno – I am going to remove coolplayer and re-image the box…just don’t trust it.

coolplayer use the default PHPRPC Server is come from coolcode.cn, but you can install the PHPRPC Server on your web site, and then use your PHPRPC Server instead of the default PHPRPC Server.
