Latest from Blog Homepage problem

I want to put a video on the homepage in the space provided by the ‘From the Blog’ box (which I have enabled for the front page). However, I’ve looked through all the options and can’t seem to find a way to link a blog entry (I have several pages on the menu) to this part of the home page. There is just a blank space waiting for something to fill it.

Please help!

I have set my home page to static and have enabled the ‘From the Blog’ box.
