Xampp Multisite – no created 'sub' sites work

    Hi

    I’ve installed Xampp and WordPress locally (Windows 7) and enabled multisite. I can see the ‘main’ site https://localhost/multisite and access the dashboard.

    I can apparently create new sites. I can see extra tables created within the database (wp_2_**** wp_3_**** etc.) I can even see the url of each new site in wp_2_options and wp_3_options.

    There are no files in C:\xampp\htdocs\multisite\wp-content\blogs.dir Although I can view an HTML file copied there such as https://localhost/multisite/wp-content/blogs.dir/readme.html

    However I get “Object not found!” when I try to view the (sub) site or access the dashboard.

    Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
