• Quick question. I am having a new blog created and looking for it to be 1024×768 and of course should be able to be sized according to screen.

    Any thoughts?

    thanks

  • What’s the question? Which size is better?
    Think fluid (flexible).

I don’t know anyone using 800×600, so I use 1024×768. Generally speaking, it’s probably safest to use 800×600 if you expect your readers to be primarily using that. For example, most of the people who would read my site would be using 1024×768 bare minimum, and more likely 1280 and higher.

Another option you could choose is to make a full-screen page. Nobody ever said all blogs had to be limited to a specific width (although it does make designing them somewhat easier, as well as giving it a consistent appearance in all resolutions).

    Just my 2 cents.

i have a designer who will be doing some work and i am trying to get him to understand that if he does it 1024×768 it also needs to be fluid at 800×600 so that there is no scrolling showing.

is there a reference site or link i can point him to to understand this better?

    thanks!
