Auto generate username with numbers & hide it in registration form

    I am running a website which have buddypress plugin & a custom theme.I need to hide the username field in buddypress register page. As username can not be remain blank,it must be automatically generate a number with “m”before theme.Such as m1001,m1426 etc.Then i can use the username as an id.I’m using email to login.

    Can anyone help me?
    As i’m new,please explain in details.
