    Hi,

Is there a way to organize Achievements by category? My website calls for achievements for men and women and would like to split the two categories up. Is that possible? Perhaps separate groups of Achivements on the Achievments page or an additional Achivements page. Any assistants would be appreciated.

Hmm, Achievements does support categories out of the box. Do you not have the regular category picker on the new/edit achievement screens in wp-admin?

    Paul,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, the category picker is present on the achievements wp-admin screen. However, there seems to be no point right now, because on the site all achievement both mens and womens are clustered together. Are the categories not functioning properly? I would like to split the achievements into bunches according to there category. Get back to me at your convenience.

Where you are looking? .com/achievements/ ?

    Paul,

Yes. on the .com/achievements page all of the achievements are clustered together, as if the categories do nothing. I currently only have two categories: mens and women’s, so i figured there would be a break or some kind of distinction on the .com/achievements page. In addition to the current issue you are helping me with I also noticed the achievements page (.com/achievements) is not accessible on my smart phone (iPhone). It loads the page, but it is blank. Is the plugin not mobile accessible?

There is no technical reason why the plugin wouldn’t be “mobile accessible”. I have an iPhone, so I’ll spin up a test site and check everything’s working. Do you know if you have any special mobile theme or mobile-specific plugins or tweaks enabled? If you’re not sure, let me know what theme you’re using, and please give me your WordPress and Achievements version numbers, as well as a full list of all the plugins active on your site.

And categories don’t show on the .com/achievements/ page, yes. That’s to be expected. They show up in WordPress’ regular category archive pages, e.g. https://buddypress.org/category/community/ — I think from memory they may need custom templates or some code tweaks for the achievements to actually show up. Category support was added as a request by someone who wanted the functionality on their site; they used it well, but it’s not something I’ve specifically exposed in the default plugin.

I don’t believe I’ve set anything that would conflict with mobile accessibility. The entire site is viewable except for the content on the .com/achievements page. It loads, its just empty though.

I am using the twenty-fourteen wordpress theme. Lastest versions of both WordPress (3.8.1) and Achievements (3.5.1). All upto date I believe.

Plugins active on my site (all update and latest versions):
    Achievements
    BuddyPress
    Fourteen Extended
    Frontend Uploader
    JetPack by WordPress.com
    Shortcodes Ultimate
    Simple Social Icons
    Uji Countdown
Ultimate Coming Soon Page (disabled this though when tried to view on phone, so I wouldnt have to sign in through wordpress)

Again, thanks for getting back to me.

    Paul,

Don’t mean to burden you, but in addition to the question above. Is it possible to have multiple achievement pages? Get back to me at your conveniance.

Thanks for all the help so far

I haven’t had chance to test this on a mobile browser just yet, but for your new question: if you mean multiple .com/achievements/ pages, no. I’m not sure how that would work?
