Can't get in to edit my site!

  • So I messed around with the domain name foolishly believing my computer illiterate friend that I could change the domain name without registering it. Changed it on HostGator then in my wordpress and lost my site, couldn’t find it. HostGator live chat helped recover it but I still can’t get into wordpress and the login reset password isn’t sending me a reset email!

    How do I get in to edit my site?

    I tired to reset the password for my site login but the link it sends is dead and it has no URL to follow?!?!

    So does your website now work with your original domain but you just can’t login?

    In your host cpanel, click on php myadmin, select your website database and look in the following tables to check if they have the correct domain name:
    _sitemeta
    _site
    _options

    One of them worked for me.
    If you make any changes to your database, backup first.

    I can not logging in to the forum. I can not get a new password says, because my email is not recognized

    If you could not login to the forums, how did you post this topic?
