removing author

What parent theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

Without knowing what theme you are using, I can only guess that it would be: .author {display:none}

Create a file in your child theme called single.php

Put that in there and save. Hope it works.

I just took by <?php the_author(); ?> out of <p class="date"><small><?php the_date(); ?> by <?php the_author(); ?></small></p>
