Looking for database and page generation plugins

  • Hi,
    I am looking for a plugin (maybe 2) for a specific purpose. I’ve been looking for days and have not found a solution yet that does what I need.

    I have this table (i.e.: spreadsheet) with about 1000 rows and about 20 columns. This table will be used to populate/create about 1000 pages. The cells contain basically text (words). The pages will all have the exact same format and structure except where it gets data from the table/database.

    I found a nice plugin called TablePress that does 90% of what I need. I can extract cell data from the table and with the use of special shortcode, insert what I want into the pages. The problem is that the row number must be an actual number. If I later insert a row in between 2 existing rows, the pages would use the wrong content. Any idea if there is a similar plugin out there?

    Also, I need a way to generate about 1000 pages of the same layout except that they would vary based on the cells in the table/database.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    how did you use tablepress to populate/create pages from rows on a spreadsheet? I am trying to do exactly that and having trouble.

    Also – did you ever find a better solution?

    Hi,
    I decided not to use tablepress after all. It was to limited for what I needed. So instead I wrote my own PHP and use mySQL queries along with PHP to create the pages I need.
