Probably a few really stupid questions but here goes…

Does it matter if I use “Post” or “Page” for the content of my site?
What is the difference between each?
Does one load faster or is smaller due to the backend structure of it?
Is one more appropriate for certain tasks or content/components?

I’m building an info and retail site at this stage it will have no blog posts as such and no availability for visitor comments.(possibly in future this may change) Several Info pages will be static with text and a few pics and only modified if any content needs updating or correcting etc. A couple of other pages will have detailed thumbnails of products and links to a 3rd party checkout. So far everything in done with “pages” but wondered whether it matters.

OK, here’s the stupid answers ??

A Page is where you put static content, eg About Us, Product Info etc. You see this on most websites.

A Post is where you use something like WordPress to publish a ‘Blog’, where you can post items that give latest information.

So your need is most definitely Pages.
