Permalinks change 500 error, cannot access my FTP directory

    I just changed the permalink on my wordpress website from default to post name. I have the 500 error, I have been searching for a while but nothings working. I cannot access the directory in my FTP as I get his error: “Failed to retrieve directory listing”

    My wordpress was installed into a sub directory called /ecommerce/
    I cannot access this Dir to fix the issue, what do I do to get my website working again?

    My hosting is Godaddy, I notice i get a 550 error when trying to access the /ecommerce/ directory.
