Nextgen gallery not properly displayed in 2013

  • I use 2013 Orange Sequence (child theme of Twenty Thirteen)and try to get a Nextgen album page right. I want the usual layout for an extended album, i.e. pic on the left + description on the right.
    Whatever I do, I cannot accomplish that. The nearest thing is the picture and the centered (?!) description, when I select NextGEN: gallery-caption.php. Otherwise I get a column of thumbnails, much to close to each other (look here).
    Is this a bug in twenty thirteen or in 2013 Orange Sequence, or do I do something terribly wrong? I hope someone can give me useful information on this issue.
