Cannot change styling

I am running DW Promobar 1.0.2 on WP 3.8.1 in the Genesis framework. I successfully installed and set up your plugin, and styled the background colors and button colors through the dashboard. Everything worked fine until I de-selected “Remain at top of page.” Now, despite the dashboard showing a different color selection, the background is orange with a wide white border. I’ve deactivated all other plugins, changed to the default theme – nothing works. When I inspect the DW Promo container it looks as though the plugin is dropping the # from the hex color for any color that is entered through the plugin.
