….. Problem Fixed….
By my side, I have done some researches and I found that the problem is the plug
WP Clean Up

When used it clear something in the db so that gallery aren’t shown
In fact, I cleaned all NG gallery setting and set up everything from the scratch…rebuilt permalinks… and galleries are again up and running

What is still strange is that standard fancybox applied only to gallery images… sometimes isn’t correctly working
Sometimes it works, sometimes it shows image in a new blank window….

Maybe it’s my case!! I have the same problem and also used WP Clean UP.

GO TO SETTINGS – PERMALINKS

take note of your current permalink setting
switch to a Settings (Numeric or just Default)
– save –
than choose back the first settings you have for your site
save again and you’re done

try also to completely reset the gallery and try again…

I have similar problem. Shortcode is displaying album with one display_type but not with other. That is weird.

I can’t find in “Other option” the way to reset the gallery. I swear: i’ve looked everywhere…

there’s no reset option if you have version 2.0.40

Solved!
Installed the 2.0.55 beta, reset and everything is ok now!!
