Safari Glitches
-
I found a few topics on the support here that seem to have to do with the issue, but none of them have been resolved yet. So I’m just more or less logging a bug I’ve found with this plugin using Safari. Chrome is fine. Firefox is fine. The widgets look fine in Safari at first, but when the “stickiness” kicks in as you scroll– when the widgets detach from the rest of the sidebar and stick there as you scroll down– the widgets go through a crazy amount of width resizing from full width to probably five pixels or so and then back to full width. Sometimes it’ll get stuck at the weird five-pixel width, but usually it goes back to normal width.
I have tried to select the “Inherit widget width from the parent container” checkbox, but that extends the widgets’ length to fill all the dead space between the sidebar and the window’s edge after you scroll down and the “stickiness” kicks in. I’ve also tried to explicitly state in CSS for the widget to inherit width from the parent container.
I’ve double-checked my CSS, and though I’ve programmed a responsive theme, my sidebar stays at a width of 225px before being hidden completely.
Here is an example of what happens: https://nerdology.org/web-design-programming/
