Loop doesn’t complete on all themes – used to work ok

I seem to have developed a problem with my blog that I can’t resolve on my own and am therefore turning to you guys for assistance.

My blog used to work fine until some time yesterday afternoon. I installed a few extra plugins:

I use WP-Cache to prevent loading on my site and noticed later in the day that an error 500 page was appearing. I cleared my cache and the same thing happened. I’ve turned off the cache and found that all pages stop loading when the loop calls the <div class=”storycontent”> point is reached.

I’ve run my site through the validator and it has 6 errors. These are generated because the loop doesn’t complete. The problem occurs with any of the themes I have available and I’ve disabled all of the plugins listed above.
