I set up a site, including a Yop poll, at a development link. I am now in the middle of moving it to its live URL – everything is working fine except for Yop. I can’t give you a link because I haven’t changed the DNS yet; I am accessing the new site via an edit to my hosts file.

The poll results show – the poll doesn’t. I have tried cloning the poll, I have even tried using the default, included poll, none of them work.

For example, this is what displays for the default poll – no checkboxes, no vote button, just this:

    Default Yop Poll
    How is my plugin?
    Good 0% 0 people
    Very Good 0% 0 people
    Bad 0% 0 people
    Other 0% 0 people

I have changed every instance of the old URL in the SQL, except for those in the http_referer field of wp_yop_poll_logs. What am I missing?

My client is waiting for this site to go live and I am at a loss! Is there anything I can do to fix this, short of uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin and creating the poll again from scratch? It’s a long poll (about 20 answers).

    Thanks!

I went the uninstall/reinstall route. Would still like to know what I missed. Just to be clear, I had set up the dev site as a mirror, so there was no moving/copying of files, just the SQL edits.

    Hi rena17,

If you have access to the database you can create a backup for yop_poll_ tables

Then, once the site is live, install the poll and update yop_poll_tables according to backup made earlier.
