• I am very intimidated to ask a question here because I generally do not understand the answers:), but here it goes.

My site is extremely slow. Alexa says I am slower than 92% of other web sites. Yikes. One thing that google says is to “Leverage browser caching.” I have read the responses that refer to this and I have no idea what anyone is talking about. Is there an easy way? Pretty please help:)???

    My site is https://www.kidworldcitizen.org

Try deactivating all of your plugins & switching to the Twenty Thirteen theme to narrow down the issue

If I switch themes…? That makes me nervous. Would I lose anything on my site if I switch themes? Doesn;t that change things?

There is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.

Your theme & plugin settings are saved in your database and should be retained for future use.
