• I’ve noticed a smattering of my blog posts list my author name as Lisa Jey Davis, while others correctly list me as Ms. Cheevious. I can find no rhyme or reason for this, and each of those posts has the correct “author” designated for the post. Any insight for this would be greatly appreciated. Is this a bug with the new version? It’s only been noticeable within the last month or so, that I can tell. https://www.mscheevious.com/blog/

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

I’m not sure how to do that easily. I’ve never used child themes, if that’s what you’re referring to. I’m a little scared of that prospect. LOL!

This is happening to me too, and I think it might have started with the update to 3.8.1 but I can’t get any answers about it.

That Stinks @movetocambodia…. I hope someone has a solution, because I looked back, and you know what – it may have been a couple of updates ago, because it was happening back in november… but that’s as far back as I could go without taking too much time. it only displays on my blog Front page where it gives a view of the posts.

@movetocambodia: If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Your problem may be completely different.

Can you elaborate on this? Which bit are you having a problem with?

I already posted my own topic, I just wanted the OP to know she wasn’t the only one with this problem. I think I have narrowed it down to the Jetpack Google+ addition, which seems to override the WP username and put in your Google+ real name. lisajeydavis, you may check to see if this feature is activated if you are using Jetpack.

I’ve never done a child theme, and don’t really know how… and is that where I would do the 2013 with no plugins? — I do think I’m going to get rid of the Google + jetpack addition that @MovetoCambodia mentioned. Do you know offhand what it is listed under @move?

Nevermind… it was in the Publicize section – and by removing my Google + profile under the shared platforms, it fixed this immediately on all of the posts. I had a hint last night that the Google + may be linked but I wasn’t sure, until you mentioned Jetpack @MovetoCambodia. Thanks!

@esmi – I would love to continue to utilize the Google + feature, but not until WP and Jetpack fixes this issue. I can’t have the Google + login overriding my author name. Thanks!
