Categories can be used any way you wish. For example, you may want to categorise your customers testimonials by the products you sell, or something ??

Marking as resolved, not an issue.

hey luke, you marked this resolved without addressing the email question?

    Hey @ucandog,

Sorry about that. Coincidentally, version 1.3.4 was just released which includes an email notification every time someone submits a testimonial on your site.

I am trying to use Gravity Forms (GF) w/this plugin and so far so good however I can’t get GF to pass the category. I looked at the sourcecode of the form generated by this plugin and found that testimonial_category_group is the custom taxonomy to be used (I think).

… it also looks like if I have multiple categories setup within this plugin, then use the form via short code, that multiple categories are not being recorded. Would this be a bug?

    Hi Dusza,

“testimonial_category_group” is not the name of the custom taxonomy Clean Testimonial uses. The taxonomy name is just “testimonial_category”.

I also responded to your multiple categories issue in the other thread ??
