    The CSS in your theme that is conflicting with the icons is

    .widget-area .widget a {
    color: #000;
    text-decoration: none;
    font-family: arial;
    }

    Wow, thanks so much!

    I am using a Simple Theme by Nimbus…First and foremost, I am VERY NEW TO WP… I have uploaded Simple Social Icons to my wp-content/plugins/directory. Have activated “plugins” in WP menu. Then attempting to insert it into the widget area of my theme. The TEXT (Connect With Me) that I insert is showing up, but NO icons are showing… Having NO HTML experience, can someone assist??? I see the CSS conflict notations about, but is that just a copy and paste option? and if so, WHERE do I paste it into???
    Thanks in advance for any and all assistance….

    I meant to type “above” not about….

    You may have solved this by now, but just in case:

    Do you have an example link?

    What browser(s) are you using? The icon fonts this plugin uses might not work in an older version of some browsers.
