Project Status Issue

  • I’m having some trouble changing the status of my post. If I’m editing the post and change the status from “Pitch” to “Assigned” and hit ok it looks like the status changes however if I reload, go to calendar, etc is reverts back to “Pitch”. Could this be a bug, or is there something I might be missing?

    It sounds like a bug. Can you…

    • Try disabling all of your other plugins, and see if it reproduces? It might be a conflict with another plugin.
    • Test whether you can change the post to another custom status (e.g. In-Progress)
    • See if you have any categories or tags with “Assigned” as the name?

    If these options fail, can you produce a screencast so I can see the behavior in action? QuickCast is a good one.

    It’s tricky to disable all plug ins, however I installed this on another WordPress site I support and am able to reproduce the same bug.

    It won’t let me change the status to any of the status’ on the “Edit Post” page however I am able to successfully change the status to “Assigned” or anything if I go to “All Posts” and then change via “Quick Edit” so the functionality works, just not on the “Edit Post” page.

    What other plugins are installed on both of those sites? This sounds suspiciously like a plugin or theme conflict to me.
