    Any ideas?

Another bit of information: I am using qTranslate for multilanguage support. Could that be the problem?

    Hi,
    I’m having the same issue.
The gallery page is https://www.taduperi.be/galeries, it shows an album just fine, and the galleries are listed.
Though if you enter one of the galeries, it adds /nggallery/galerie-2/ in the link, and the link to the galeries in the menu to the left is changed to https://www.taduperi.be/galeries/nggallery/galerie-2/.

I really don’t understand where those directories come from..

    And I don’t use qTranslate.

I don’t think that’s exactly the same issue. I think NextGEN Gallery will add those parts in your example to show what has to be displayed and it should also handle them (but as far as I can see here as well, it doesn’t).

Strange that nobody seems to know about those problems that arise in the very first use of the plugin, although it seems to be very popular and regarded as very good.

I was thinking it was the same issue as there are folders added to the links which shouldn’t be there..
I didn’t have this issue with a previous version of NGG, but can’t find anything about this on the internet..

@uraster your second page is https://ludi-mladi.ch/de/galerien/bilder/nggallery/page/2/
Try this: set permalinks to default, save, refresh, clear cache and see if it works – then set again your custom permalinks.
If it doesn’t work, test as requested in this forum’s home page (default theme and all plugins deactivated but NGG)

Strange that nobody seems to know

You posted your question just about 18 hours ago, and if in your first post you had put useful information instead of fake URLs now you could be further on your issue, so it isn’t strange

I haven’t set any kind of permalinks, so I don’t even know where to set them to default. Can you give me some more hints?

What I meant with nobody seems to know is that I can’t find anything in Google (what I first tried). I don’t even find anyone discussing similar issues while there are already two of us here having issues with the links.

    Google: https://goo.gl/tbDYco
@uraster you have a custom permalink structure, so someone has setted in this way, from WP menu settings on the left (I don’t how is in your language) > Permalink

Please don’t mix your issue with @anagram@glossolalie.be, this is much confusing and he has to open his own topic with his own problem.

@tizz: Yes, you were correct, there was a permlink setting: “Post name”. When I go back to “Default” it starts working but the URLs become unfriendly. Is it possible to have “Post name” permlinks with NextGEN Gallery?

About anagram’s problem: when I have the permlinks set to “Post name” and some configuration of NextGEN Gallery (not sure which one any more because it was when I was trying it out) I got the exact same issue as him, so maybe his can be solved in the same way. But you are correct, it is a separate one.

Is it possible to have “Post name” permlinks with NextGEN Gallery?

Yes, but how about the things I suggested above?

So setting the permlink to default fixes it. Setting it back to “Post name” breaks it again.

Unfortunately it is not possible for me to go back to default theme and remove all plugins, etc. because I will have to redo everything from the beginning.

I think those were all suggestions, or am I missing something?

@uraster Activate default theme and deactivate (not remove) all plugins (except Nextgen) is a standard common practice used by millions to test any possible conflict, and doesn’t destroy anything.
Once done, clear cache and you’ll see if all works as expected. If it works, reactivate one by one (theme and plugins) checking every time until you find the culprit.
