• Since 3.8.1 the links in the menu-bar changed mysteriously. Sub-items now have the main menu item in their url.
    The website is https://kirtan.nu/.
For example: the sub-item “kirtan-uitleg” (sorry, the site is in Dutch) under the main-menu-item “(wat is) kirtan” used to be https://kirtan.nu/kirtan-uitleg/.
Now it has changed to https://kirtan.nu/wat-is-kirtan/kirtan-uitleg/
The original sub-item urls are redirected to the new longer ones.
Any idea on how this might have happened?
I also have deactivated a breadcrumb-plugin. Could that have anything to do with it?

    Thanx
    Hans

  • I have the same problem- the link from my main menu disappeared just like this. Crazy and people bombard me with request exactly for that menu part.
    look: https://www.povvi.com/blog

It simply does not reactant all.

    PLEASE, HELP!

@zuzliak: If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

    @hansbeen: Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Another problem: I tried to delete jigoshop, but it’s simply not possible. It’s deactivated but system does not allow me to delete it. HELP!

system does not allow me to delete it.

    Can you clarify this?

Yes, you said: deactivating all plugins …

Because I do not want use Jigoshop, I deactivated it already yesterday and today I tried to delete jigoshop from my plugins- but this is simply not possible as the systems shows only fatal error, but does not delete the plug in

all others plugins I can easily delete, but not jigoshop

How exactly did you try to delete this plugin?

I went to my Installed plugins, click on delete for jigoshop and only I’ve got was a error message. No action, jigoshop is not deleted from my plugins at all.

What was the exact error message?

    this:

Fatal error: Class ‘jigoshop’ not found in /nfs/c03/h03/mnt/53858/domains/povvi.com/html/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/classes/jigoshop_options.class.php on line 549

Download a fresh copy of this plugin to your computer, unpack the zip file and upload the plugin’s folder to wp-content/plugins using FTP. Once that is done, try deleting the plugin again.

And, yes, there is method in this particular piece of madness. ??

Am I married now with jigoshop? I hope not.

Esmi, please, I’m not that advanced in pc technology- can you maybe guide me here? Do I have to do it via my blog-plugins or straight from wordpress site?
    Thank you very much.

    No. ??

I’m suggesting a fresh upload of the plugin so we can try and get the deletion to run successfully. Deleting the plugin via WordPress should force a clear out of all database tables etc that were previously used by jigoshop. Deleting plugins using FTP doesn’t trigger this kind of clear out.

    (@hansbeen)

I deactivated all the plug-ins, no difference.
It only happened after the update to 3.8.1, it seems a problem of the update to me. On my other websites (3.7.1, not updated) no problems.

    Default theme makes no difference

The plugin-folder seems ok to me by FTP, no sign of the breadcrumbs-plugin

Re-uploading all files & folders seems a kind of drastic action, not even sure how to do that…

I think it is better to continue the other discussion with Zuzlak on a separate topic? It seems you are discussing a whole different problem, or am I wrong?
