Hide the box around the main menu

I see you use a child-theme.
Goes in the bottom of your style.css

.navbar-inner {
    background: none;
    -webkit-box-shadow: none;
    -moz-box-shadow: none;
    box-shadow: none;
}

I added the code listed and the navbar is still there. I would like it to be one solid piece, and the code above does not seem to make any change.
