    Hi Molly,

In order to change the title on your site, you would have to create a custom font control. Firstly, just so I can figure out the best way help you I was wondering if you have any experience with CSS? Also do you have a link to your website I can see?

Thanks for your assistance. I don’t have any CSS experience. I did watch the tutorial video but that’s where I got lost – the custom font control. If you have some basic instructions that would be so helpful.

Link to site is below. We’d like to change the title and header fonts that are currently in red.

    Hi Molly,
The purpose of the custom font control is to allow you to create a new font control that will appear in the customizer without having to code. Here are some instructions for you to follow:

Instructions – Creating a custom font control for your site title:

    1. Log in to your WordPress admin area and go to: Settings > Google Fonts
    2. Click create new font control and give your font control a name e.g Site Title and click the Create Font Control button. (If no other custom font controls exist then it will take you straight to the add new control screen)
    3. Once you have created your new font control enter the following text in the Add CSS Selectors input box: h1#site-title (Press tab after each selector)
    4. Click the Save Font Control button
    5. Visit the customizer and you will see your new font control which will allow you to control the site title

Instructions – Creating a custom font control for your other headings:

    1. Log in to your WordPress admin area and go to: Settings > Google Fonts
    2. Click create new font control and give your font control a name e.g Site Headings and click the Create Font Control button. (If no other custom font controls exist then it will take you straight to the add new control screen)
    3. Once you have created your new font control enter the following text in the Add CSS Selectors input box: .entry-title (Press tab after each selector)
    4. Click the Save Font Control button
    5. Visit the customizer and you will see your new font control which will allow you to control the site title

I hope that helps. Please let me know how you get on.

This is a great help! Thank you. I’ve been able to change the font for title and headings. Two more questions:

    – While there is a tab for “Appearance” to change the color under these headings, when I do change the color it’s not translating to the new title or header. Thoughts?

    – Do you mind helping me with the CSS selector to change the Title Tagline font and the Right Column (2nd column) headers and bullet fonts?

    Really appreciate the assistance.
