• HI Guys!

Im facing a small problem now :
1.) My test site is being listed on google ( excelforth.com/test)
2.) I have sitemap submitted and indexed ( but most of the links are from my test site ( this sitemap was made by my colleage ))
3.) I am planning to move this test site to the main site in the future but am still working on the test site and will only move it in maybe a months time .
4.) Will me disabling the search engine visibility option in wordpress on my test site disable visibility for my test sites alone ? ( all excelforth.com/test ) and other sites under /test

Please advise as I am quite new to WordPress and such . Thanks!!!

  • Disabling search visibility may eventually drop your pages off results, but for indexed pages it will take a while. I wouldn’t worry about it as it’s unlikely anyone will find your site with an organic search.

oh okay .. I might as well just leave it be if its necessary

Also, Google personalizes their search for your particular computer. So just because you brought it up in a search doesn’t mean I’ll bring it up in a search from my computer.

If the googlebot crawled your test site … who cares? It’s not going to penalize you for anything.
